JRB Mediations was founded by Judy Balombin, a seasoned mediator with over a decade of experience helping clients across Alberta resolve conflict with clarity and confidence. As a Qualified Mediator (Q.Med) and Certified Workplace Investigator, Judy brings tangible expertise to every mediation conversation—from family and separation challenges to workplace disputes and civil disagreements.

Education and Professional Training

Judy’s academic background blends human insight, strategic thinking, and clear communication—essential strengths for effective, client-focused mediation. She holds degrees in Commerce and Arts (Psychology/Sociology) from the University of Alberta, and a degree in Communications from Simon Fraser University.

In addition to her formal education, Judy has completed hundreds of hours of advanced professional training in mediation, conflict resolution, and negotiation—as outlined below—and continues to build the skills that help clients feel heard, supported, and resolved.
