While every case is unique, most mediation services contain the following steps:
A 30-45-minute call (or video meeting) to understand your situation, explain the mediation process, and answer any questions. There is no pressure or obligation to use our services after your consultation.
Once both parties agree to move forward, we will complete the engagement paperwork, collect retainers, and schedule the next steps. We also share preparation materials to set you up for success.
Each participant meets individually with the mediator to discuss their perspective, relevant background information, and key documents in a confidential setting. We also share preparation materials to set you up for success.
We review any materials relevant to the case, such as financial statements, performance evaluations, emails, or other background information.
We bring participants together (virtually or in person) for a structured and respectful conversation designed to explore each party’s concerns and interests. This process helps identify areas of agreement, work through points of disagreement, and develop practical, mutually acceptable solutions.
If a resolution is reached, we prepare a Mediated Settlement Agreement (or a report for workplace mediations with key findings and recommendations). These agreements may be binding depending on the conflict, the supporting documentation, and the parties’ understanding of their rights and responsibilities.
