    Property Division

Property division, which includes both assets and debts, can be contentious and emotional.

JRB Mediations can help you negotiate the division of your property and reach a mediated settlement agreement, quickly and fairly.

It's important to identify and value property acquired before and during marriage or cohabitation up to the separation date, as well as any properties that may be exempt from division.

    Spousal Support

Spousal support is not a given. At times it is not even on the table. Several factors are considered, such as entitlement, amount, duration, financial means, need, length of marriage or cohabitation, etc.

JRB Mediations helps you sift through many of these factors to help you negotiate a fair and reasonable agreement.

  • Man passing money to woman, child in background

    Child Support

Child support is typically based upon the Federal Child Support Guidelines, which are based on the income of both parents and the amount of time children spend with each parent on an annual basis.

Though child support is not negotiable, special expenses can be negotiated. These are based upon the ability to pay and the needs of the child. It includes, for example, childcare, post-secondary school, , extracurricular activities, etc.
